Recognizing the strong fit of our contemporary Scripture texts, we leverage our translations and programs to resource partner churches and ministries who serve children and youth – the present and future of our nations and the Church Reach4Life (R4L). The Reach4Life New Testament Bible facilitates change through bringing young people to Christ, discipling them, and teaching them Bible-based life skills addressing issues specific to teens and young adults ages 12 to 25. The devotional focuses on the 4 journeys: how to be saved, growing in Christ, how to face challenges, and how to be a change agent yourself. Additionally, the Reach4Life program implements an effective teaching and discipling method called peer education. Peer influence can be such a strong factor in a youth’s decision-making process, that when youth are transformed by the Word of God and choose to lead their peers we consistently see dramatic improvements in behavior and life choices. We use Reach4Life in the following languages in Africa: English, French, Portuguese, Kiswahili, Amharic, Luganda, Chichewa and Hausa. We will soon have the books available in Shona, Asante Twi, Ibibio and Luganda. Children for Christ (C4C) The aim of the Children for Christ program is to engage children in Africa with the story of the Bible and the hope of the Gospel. We have a vested interest in children because we believe that if their lives can be changed, they can change the future. We are therefore excited at the opportunity to bring the hope of the Gospel to Africa, one child at a time.
